Steel delivered to Burlington Pier

A much anticipated delivery made its way to Burlington Friday.

The first of the main steel girders arrived at the Brant Street pier.

The material will be used for the pier project.

It’s a significant milestone since the site has been plagued with problems for the last three years ever since a crane collapsed during construction.

Another delivery is set for next week followed by the steel’s installation.

The completion date for the pier is sometime in 2013.
