St. Catharines woman faces charges after three cyclists struck in mid-June, one fatally

Niagara police say a St. Catharines woman is facing charges after three cyclists were struck by a vehicle in mid-June, one of them fatally.
On June 13, at around 6:42 p.m., police arrived on scene on Seventh Street Louth between South Service Road and Second Avenue Louth where the three cyclists had been struck by a white Ford Edge.
The deceased cyclist was a 36-year-old man living and working in St. Catharines. The two other cyclists sustained serious injuries. Both of them are 36-year-old and 42-year-old men. They are also both living and working in St. Catharines.
All three men are residents of Mexico working at an area farm.
On Wednesday, Aug. 17, a woman was charged in connection with the incident. A 51-year-old St. Catharines woman is facing charges of carless driving, careless driving causing bodily harm and careless driving causing death.
The 51-year-old has been released on a Summons with a future court date of September 13th, 2022, to deal with the charges.
