St. Catharines restaurant moves to locals only for dine-in service

A St. Catharines restaurant has decided to limit its establishment to locals only.
The move comes after the Ford government brought back some restrictions in the province’s COVID-19 hot spots of Toronto, Peel and Ottawa.
As part of those new restrictions, restaurants in these areas can no longer offer indoor dining.
It’s prompted concerns from residents outside those areas. Some say they are worried it will mean people from the hot spots going to other areas.
Following Friday’s announcement from the government, Romby’s Tavern & Smokehouse in St. Catharines implemented a policy requiring proof of Niagara residency for people wanting to dine in.
This change was posted on their Facebook page.
