St. Catharines purse snatcher

Niagara police are looking for a suspect after an elderly woman was pushed off her bike in St. Catharines.

The suspect, who was also on a bike, tried to steal the woman’s purse Tuesday afternoon while on a path that runs between a Welland Avenue “No Frills” and Roehampton Avenue.

The suspect is white, in his 40’s, about six feet tall with a thin build.

Police say he was wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans and a blue baseball hat.
