St. Catharines police investigating serious collision involving cyclist and car

Niagara police are investigating a serious crash between a cyclist and a car in St. Catharines.
Officers say the collision happened around 4:24 p.m. on April 17 on Lakeshore Road near Broadway.
A 72-year-old male cyclist from St. Catharines was transported to a hospital outside the Niagara Region with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He remains in hospital.
Police say a 74-year-old woman, also from St. Catharines was driving the car involved in the crash.
Roads in the area were closed for the investigation, but reopened around 11:20 p.m. that night.
