St. Catharines pedestrian struck by 2 vehicles, pronounced dead

Niagara police are investigating an overnight fatality after a 32-year-old St. Catharines pedestrian was struck by two vehicles.

Around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers and emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision on Ontario St. at Linwell Rd., in St. Catharines.

Upon arrival, investigators determined a pedestrian was walking within the intersection when he was struck by two vehicles travelling southbound on Ontario St., he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they are continuing to investigate and say no charges have been laid at this time.

Investigators do say the weather may have been a factor.
