Man charged in suspicious death investigation in St. Catharines

Niagara Regional Police have arrested a St. Catharines’ man in connection with a suspicious death investigation.

36-year-old Shaun Joseph Fitzsimons is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Glenn Joseph Hewer, 60.

A member of the public found Hewer injured on the sidewalk on Queenston St. around 1 a.m. Friday Apr. 13.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics but died of his injuries in hospital.

Fitzsimons is being held for a bail hearing Monday.
