Police arrest 4 Toronto men for drug trafficking in St. Catharines

Niagara Regional Police Service has disrupted a drug trafficking operation in St. Catharines at the same apartment where a high-profile shooting took place two months ago.
The drugs and gangs unit has been investigating the residence since August and were granted a warrant to search the property on Wednesday.
Four Toronto men were arrested in the apartment on Church St. They’re accused of trafficking crack cocaine, fentanyl and crystal meth.
Back on Sept. 6, a shooting in the same apartment left three men injured. Since then, police say officers have continued to investigate suspected drug trafficking, but are not saying if the two cases are connected.
St. Catharines City Councillor-elect Greg Miller says more needs to be done to tackle drug-related violence in the downtown core, including a badly needed safe-injection site.
