St Catharines crash leaves man fighting for life

A man is struggling to stay alive in a Hamilton hospital after what police suspect was a high speed crash in St Catharines.
A collision reconstruction team has been working overnight trying to determine what caused the high-impact collision. The driver was found unconscious and airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the vehicle was southbound on Grantham Ave just before 9:30 last night when it lost control near the intersection of Grantham and Carlton while making a left turn.
Niagara Regional Police say the 23 year old driver went through several front yards before hitting a parked car. No one else was injured and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
