St Catharines couple killed in Bahamas

Now to a tragic story out of St. Catharines tonight.

A couple from the community who traveled to the bahamas was killed while walking along a highway there. Bahamas police say it was a traffic fatality… And tonight, Ron and Jill Gandza are being described as animal lovers… Who travelled to the islands to make a difference… And Jill had just recently retired after being a nurse for 32 years. The crash happened in Exuma, which is one of the many islands in the Bahamas… It’s located about 56 kilometres south east of Nassau. Its airport takes flights directly from Toronto and there has been a population boom there over the last ten years.
