St. Catharines boy interviews WWII veteran great-grandfather

7-year-old Nathan Donald from St. Catharines has launched an interview channel on YouTube with the help of his dad, Cameron.
Leading up to Remembrance Day, the aspiring journalist interviewed his 107-year-old great-grandfather Burdett Sisler, who served in WWII.
“Grandpa, why is Remembrance Day so important?” Nathan asked. “You should remember the fellas that went to war, you should give thanks to those who gave their lives so that you could have a good time here in Canada,” Sisler said.
Nathan wants to be a news reporter, “I like to tell fun stories…”
Since July Nathan has been going around with his dad and doing interviews with people in the Niagara area and putting the videos on his YouTube page called The News with Nathan.
“It’s neat having him do it himself, help edit the videos and use tech to his advantage and learn something he can use going forward the rest of his life,” Cameron said.
So far, Nathan has 33 subscribers and hopes to gain more.
