SpinCo Hamilton, which had been linked to a COVID-19 outbreak affecting dozens of people, will reopen its doors on Saturday.

“We can confirm that we have decided, with the guidance and full approval from Hamilton Public Health, to re-open our doors to our Hamilton studio on Saturday Nov. 14,” said Michelle August, Founder of SpinCo, in a statement.

“We made this decision after careful consideration and we are confident in our decision to open our doors to our customers.”

The studio will have additional safety measures in place, including a hospital-grade air purifier and plexiglass between the instructor and students.

Masks are also now required while riding and the exercise bikes will now be spaced three metres apart.

Hamilton Public Health declared a COVID-19 outbreak at the fitness studio on Oct. 5.

It ended Oct. 27 with a total of 54 primary cases of the virus and at least 31 secondary cases.
