The Hamilton fire department responded to a person who fell in the Spencer Creek Wednesday afternoon. It happened just behind Market Street in Dundas where a 12-year old boy had been walking with friends and slipped into the fast-flowing water.  He couldn’t get out but managed to cling to a ledge until the fire department arrived.

The boy was in the water for about 20 minutes but came out unhurt and was able to walk to a waiting ambulance to be checked out.
