Two men in their early twenties have been taken to hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Binbrook Wednesday night.

Police say the crash happened on Harrison Rd. near the Binbrook Conservation Area shortly before 10:20 p.m.

They say an Audi sedan was traveling at a “high rate of speed” when it failed to negotiate a curve in the road.

“The vehicle left the roadway and went airborne before landing a considerable distance away,” said Hamilton Police in a news release.

The driver, a 23-year-old man from Canfield, and his 21-year-old passenger were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say speed, drugs and alcohol are considered to be factors in the crash.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing the investigation.
