Environment Canada has issued a special winter weather statement for Wednesday.

Snow is expected to begin around midnight Tuesday and become heavy by Wednesday afternoon. Heavy snow will continue into the evening before tapering off to flurries by Wednesday night.

10- 15 cm of snow is possible for Hamilton, Halton, Haldimand and Niagara. There is also a risk of freezing rain.
