Special bike stolen from autistic boy
A Hamilton family is asking for the public’s help to find their son’s stolen custom-made bike.
Josh Thompson has a rare disability called Sotos Syndrome which causes excessive physical growth. He is also autistic. Josh is 6’11”, and weighs around 375 pounds.
Tuesday night his bike was stolen from the garage of his assisted living home.
Josh’s mother Katie says it was made to be able to support him. “What this bike does is help him to be able to exercise and enjoy the outdoors.”
Josh adds “I like to go for a nice big huge long bike ride. Put my bike on the rack on the bus.”
If you have information about the missing bike, the Thompson family would like you to contact police.
