South Korean delegation tours Hamilton

An industrial delegation from South Korea has stopped in Hamilton, trying to create a stronger working relationship with Canada.

The delegation is made up of 16 leading companies from Honam province with expertise in electric vehicle components, automotive parts, boat and ship building, as well as hardware and software.

Former cabinet minister George Smitherman is acting as tour guide. “In South Korea we have a really big, blossoming automotive sector. The more we can do to promote ties between our two countries, the better the economic opportunities ought to be for workers here and there.”

The group will be in Niagara later today.
