South Africans celebrate Mandela’s release

South Africans are rejoicing, a day after former leader Nelson Mandela was discharged from the hospital.

Mandela left the hospital on Saturday and returned to his home in Johannesburg, where he’ll receive “home-based high care.”

94 year old Mandela had been receiving treatment for pneumonia.

Many South Africans have been praying for his recovery, and now they say their prayers have been answered.

Nelson Mandela spent several weeks in hospital over the Christmas holiday season with a similar ailment.
