Sophie Gregoire Trudeau tests positive for COVID-19

The prime minister’s wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) confirmed her positive test Thursday night.
The PMO says her symptoms remain mild and she is taking all the recommended precautions.
She returned from the U.K. and began showing flu-like symptoms, including a low fever late Wednesday night.
Gregoire Trudeau said she is experiencing uncomfortable symptoms of the virus but hopes to be back on her feet soon. She is currently in self-isolation.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in good health but will remain in isolation for 14 days and conduct meetings by telephone and videoconferencing.
The House of Commons has been struggling to decide how to respond to the COVID-19 concerns after Trudeau went into self-isolation.
The house was already set to take a scheduled break next week, but now, even if the session does resume March 23 as planned, Trudeau is not expected to be there.
