Snake in the grass

A Hamilton woman came across a slithery surprise when she was out for a walk with her child Wednesday afternoon in the north end of the city.

She found an almost 2 metre long Columbian Red-Tailed Boa Constrictor in the area of John Street and Strachan Avenue.

Hamilton Police were called and managed to confine it until Animal Control arrived and removed the snake. Police are still trying to find its owner.
