Smith makes Niagara hospital recommendations

Updated Health care in the Niagara region has been in the news a lot this week.

Last night thousands rallied in Grimsby to try and encourage the government to re-build their local hospital. And tonight the recommendations of a report into the Niagara Health System have been released.

Kevin Smith says four hospitals within the NHS should close, and one new general acute care hospital should be built in the south end of Niagara. As Lauran Sabourin tells us, that was the key recommendation from the NHS supervisor’s long-awaited report.
