Small businesses in Canada continue to suffer

The Canadian Federation of Independent Business is calling on provincial governments to look at alternatives to lockdowns in fighting the Corona-19 virus.  The CFIB says one in six businesses has considered permanent closure due to lockdowns and 74-thousand have now closed permanently.  They say renewed contact tracing efforts, widespread use of rapid testing and expedited use of vaccines are the alternatives that should be implemented. 70% of Canada’s small businesses say government help is needed for them to survive.
