A video of a man scaling the Burlington Skyway Bridge was uploaded to Youtube on Monday and has now been seen by close to a thousand people, including OPP investigators. Police charged Conor Friday, 21 year old from Burlington immediately after he climbed down from the Skyway Bridge around 6am on August 2nd.
“When he came down, we were able to speak with him, a 21 year old man is now facing charges of trespassing.”
That was before this video was posted on-line. Police are still investigating and Conor Friday could face further more serious charges like mischief, or endangering life. The thrill-seeker had a Go-Pro camera strapped to his chest, and had a second camera for a different angle. Near the end of the video he turns that camera on to himsel revealing what he looks like, though he had a bandana over his face. Police are urging people not to attempt similar stunts.
Along with trespassing, Conor Friday has been charged with being a pedestrian on a highway. The two charges will cost him about $85.
