Six Nations fires

An investigation is underway after two fires at Six Nations yesterday.

This is what’s left of a warehouse on Chiefswood Road after a warehouse went up in flames just after four in the morning. Additional firefighters had to be brought in from Brant & Haldimand county to battle the blaze at the former cigarette factory. The owner apparently emptied the factory earlier this year and officials say there were no hazardous materials inside and no one was hurt. The cause is under investigation and the office of the Ontario Fire Marshal has been contacted to assist.

Then there was another suspicious fire around 6:50 last night at an abandoned home. That fire is also considered to be suspicious
