SIU probes west Toronto police shooting

Province’s Special Investigation Unit called in after man fatally shot by police.
A man’s dead after an altercation with Toronto police.
It happened late morning on Campbell Avenue in the Dupont-Lansdowne neighbourhood.
Police were chasing 2 men on foot, including one who reportedly was armed.
The man, believed to be in his 40’s, was shot in the chest.
As with any cases where someone’s hurt and police are involved, the SIU is now handling the investigation.
