SIU investigating Toronto subway shooting

Terrified commuters ran for their lives when Toronto Police opened fire at a man on a downtown subway platform last night.
The shooting happened around 8:00 at the Queen subway station beside the Eaton Centre.
The Special Investigations Unit says officers were investigating a man on a subway car when there was an “interaction.” The man was then shot and injured.
He was taken to hospital and remains in stable condition. Some witnesses say they heard multiple shots before the man fell to the ground.
The SIU is asking any witnesses or anyone who may have video footage of the incident to come forward.
The Queen subway station was closed overnight but reopened this afternoon.
