SIU investigating motorcycle crash

The Special Investigations Unit has been called in after a motorcycle crash on Hamilton’s Red Hill Valley Parkway.

Early findings say the bike was heading north on the parkway around 7:30 last night. It reportedly passed through police radar near Queenston Road, and continued until a cruiser turned on its siren.

The motorcycle then crashed at Barton Street. The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The SIU is called in any time there’s a death or serious injury involving police.

No other vehicles were involved.
