SIU investigates bridge death

Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit is looking into the circumstances around the falling death of a man last night in Hamilton.

Police responded to reports of a man standing on a bridge on Centennial Parkway just after 8:30.

Officers spoke with the man briefly before leaving, but a short time later, officers returned to find the man below the bridge. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The SIU has assigned three investigators and two forensic investigators to look into the incident.
