SIU ends investigation

The Special Investigations Unit has ended its investigation after a 22-year old woman in Brantford was injured last month, when police fired shots at the car she was in.

The SIU says Hillary Robertson was hit by the open door of the car, when the driver reversed and drove towards approaching police officers.

One officer fired his gun, but no one was hit, and since Robertson was not seriously hurt, the investigation was terminated.
