Singer and actress Olivia Newton-John dead at 73

Actress and singer Olivia Newton-John has died at age 73.

The Australian singer became one of the biggest stars of the 70s and 80s after her iconic role in Grease alongside actor John Travolta.

According to a statement on her official Instagram page, Newton-John passed away peacefully at her ranch in Southern California this morning after a long battle with breast cancer.

John Travolta posted a photo of Newton-John on his Instagram account today with the caption,

“My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”

Newton-John is survived by her husband and daughter.
