Roads reopen following incident on Stanley Street in Simcoe

One person has been taken into custody after an hours-long incident in Simcoe overnight Wednesday.

Norfolk County OPP say the incident began on Stanley St. just after midnight.

Several roads were closed for the investigation. Police say there was no threat to public safety.

Around 7:30 a.m. police reported that an arrest was made and area roads had reopened.

They say the investigation continues.
