Shots fired in Niagara Falls

Niagara Regional Police are investigating after shots were fired in a residential area of Niagara Falls.

Police responded to reports of shots fired on Maple St., near 6th Ave. just after midnight Thursday.

Officers located evidence of gunfire but say no victims or property damage were found, police said in a release.

Reports from the scene suggest as many as five shots were fired.

Police are looking for a silver or grey vehicle, possibly a Honda Civic or a similar-looking car.
