Gunman Acted Alone In Munich Rampage

German officials confirm that a gunman who opened fire and killed nine people at a Munich shopping mall acted alone and then took his own life. Earlier it was believed that  three assailants were involved, prompting a lock-down of the city while police searched.

Police say the  gunman was an 18-year-old German-Iranian who was born and raised in Munich.  He is said to have been obsessed with mass shootings and had no apparent connection to any terrorist organization.  Witnesses say he was targeting children and immigrants.  Police say he obtained his gun through the “dark web’ of the internet.
