Former Hamilton member of parliament Sheila Copps will spend Wednesday drumming up support for Liberal candidates in the current election campaign.

Copps campaigned with Hamilton Mountain candidate Shaun Burt Wednesday morning.

He’s vying for the seat left vacant when the NDP’s Chris Charlton decided to retire from federal politics.

During the noon hour, Copps will join Jennifer Stebbing in the new riding of Flamborough-Glanbrook.

Stebbing is facing a tough opponent in David Sweet, who has been the Tory MP in Ancaster-Dundas-Flamborough-Westdale since 2006.
