Sex assault in Hamilton

Police are looking for a man after a teenager was sexually assaulted in Hamilton’s east end.

It happened just after midnight.

Investigators say the girl was walking near Woodward Avenue and Walmer Road when she was grabbed from behind.

She was able to push the man away and ran for help.

The canine unit responded but was unable to locate him.

The man is described as a white male, twenty to twenty-five years of age, and approximately five feet nine inches tall.

He is unshaven with short, dirty-blonde hair.

At the time he was wearing a black hoodie, jeans and a white baseball cap.
