Hamilton’s 7th annual Bright Run

The seventh annual Bright Run was held in Dundas on Saturday.

The run raises money for cancer research, and all funds raised stay in Hamilton, mainly at the Juravinski Cancer Centre.

The event has funded 13 different research projects and has raised almost $2 million to date.

Olympic gold medalist and Hamilton native Laura Fortino walked in Saturday’s event and helped hand out medals.

Hamilton Mayor Bob Bratina and the president of Juravinski Hospital, Dr. Ralph Meyer, were also at the Bright Run.
