Serious crashes over the weekend

A woman has been taken to hospital with minor injuries following a crash early this morning. It happened just before two on Main Street West near Dalewood Avenue. The black car she was driving hit a pole, crumbling the front end of the vehicle. No word yet on what caused the crash or if any charges will be laid.

A Quebec driver has been charged following a crash in Puslinch on Saturday morning that sent two people to hospital. Both were airlifted from the scene with serious injuries. The OPP say a truck was was in the right lane when another truck hit it from behind. The damage was extensive to the second truck and the two people taken to hospital were trapped inside for some time. Police say a 65 year old man has been charged with careless driving.

And a 33 year old Mississauga man has died after losing control of his car on the QEW in Mississauga Friday night. It happened near Hurontario Street around 11:30. Police believe the driver lost control in the eastbound lanes, smashed into steel guardrail and ended up in the westbound lanes of the highway, where he was then hit but two other cars. Two other people have serious injuries but they’re expected to survive. Any witnesses are being asked to contact the OPP.
