Serious crashes in Niagara

A pair of serious crashes in Niagara have sent at least three people to hospital.
In Grimsby late Friday morning, a woman lost control of her van on Wolverton Road, hit a culvert, and then rolled over onto the driver’s side. She was trapped in the vehicle. Early reports say parts of her fingers had to be amputated and that she had a cut on her head.
A few hours later on South Service Road on St Catharines two cars smashed head-on as they were rounding a curve. A 29-year old woman broke her shoulder. The man driving the other car had minor injuries. The road was blocked for a while until the mess of damaged car parts was cleaned up.
