Serious crash shuts down QEW in Burlington

A serious crash on the QEW near Guelph line caused a big back up  in both directions.

Eight adults, with “various degrees of injures” were transported to hospital after a mini van lost control and rolled several times.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says several people were ejected from the vehicle and were located in different locations across the highway.

It happened around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon and it wasn’t until 6:30 that all lanes in both directions re-opened.
