Senator Harb resigns

Former Liberal Senator Mac Harb is resigning from the upper chamber.

Harb has been at the centre of a battle over his senate expenses for months. He has dropped a lawsuit he filed in the fight, and says he’ll repay all of his questioned living and expense claims. Harb says he’s sent the Senate a cheque for nearly $190,000, which brings his total reimbursement to more than $230,000.
