Second player sues Chicago Blackhawks for alleged sexual assault and cover-up

The NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks are facing a major lawsuit again after another former player in the organization has alleged that former video coach Brad Aldrich sexually assaulted him during the 2009-2010 season.

Lawyers representing the plaintiff say the organization failed to respond to his complaints and the Chicago Tribune reports he was a teammate of former Blackhawk Kyle Beach, who settled with the hockey club in December 2021 for similar accusations.

Lawyers say the latest allegations are coming from a “John Doe” and claim there was an “institutional cover-up to protect an abusive coach” all during the Blackhawks Stanley Cup run more than a decade ago.
