Seattle Sounders win MLS Cup over Toronto FC in penalty kicks

The Seattle Sounders defeated Toronto, 5-4, in a penalty shootout to take home the MLS Cup on a chilly Saturday night.
The pressure came early courtesy of TFC with Michael Bradley sending the ball forward to Sebastian Giovinco then to Jozy Altidore who narrowly missed the far side of the net.
The 108th minute of play, TFC’s best chance, but the Sounders, boosted by a save from goalkeeper Stefan Frei just getting the tip of his fingers on the ball, keeping the Toronto faithful on the edge of their seats.
After playing 120 minutes of soccer the score was still o-o, taking the game into a shootout.
The play was tied after five kicks each when Justin Morrow hit the crossbar.
Roman Torres, the Panama international, managed the winning penalty kick in the sixth round giving Seattle its first MLS cup victory.
More than 36,000 fans took in the game filling the stands at BMO field.
