Search resumes at Binbrook lake for missing swimmer

The search continues at the Binbrook Conservation Area for a missing swimmer.

Divers from Hamilton and Peel Police spent the past few days searching the waters of Lake Niapenco for the 45 year old man who disappeared Monday night. Police say a group of four friends went swimming and only three returned to shore.

They say the missing man was training for a triathlon.

Police are also searching around the edges of the lake. At this point, police are considering the case to be a recovery effort.

The conservation area will remain closed until the search is completed.
