Last Sunday’s Around The Bay Road Race that raised funds for St Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton received an extra donation today from students at St Joseph’s Catholic Elementary School.
Students at the Locke St school who usually wear uniforms held a dress-down day last Friday, raising $615.60 for St Joseph’s Healthcare.
Brent and Amanda Kinnaird, parents of three students at the school, have a special reason to help raise money for the foundation. “We have twins Ashley & Reid, who are 7 in grade 1 here at St Joseph School & they were born 4 weeks early & Reid was diagnosed with congenital heart disease.”
“Reid has spent a fair amount of time in hospital through the course of his life as well as annual checkups with his cardiologist. Our personal connection to the hospital & care we received from the day he was born is something that is very special to us.”
Brent Kinnaird also ran in the Around the Bay race to help raise funds as part of a corporate team at his work, McKeil Marine.
