School, daycare and transportation closures as winter storm continues

A winter storm continues to bring snow to our region, with 25 to 35 centimetres expected.

The Hamilton Wentworth District School Board has cancelled remote and in-person learning today.

Schools, administrative buildings and child care centres are also closed.

Classes are also cancelled at Hamilton’s Catholic board.

All Halton District School Board and Halton Catholic District School Board schools and classes are cancelled in Zones 1, 2 & 3. Remote learning and transportation services are also cancelled.

Both Niagara school boards are closed and transportation is cancelled and Niagara REgion French Catholic schools are closed.

Transportation services and schools in the Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk and the City of Brantford, are cancelled today.

The Grand Erie school board has cancelled classes for today.

All YMCA preschool and school age child care centres are closed today throughout Hamilton, Burlington and Brantford.

All Mohawk College campuses are closed today. In-person day and evening classes are cancelled but the school says virtual and remote classes will continue as scheduled.

The McMaster University campus is closed today.

  • Haldimand Norfolk Senior Support Services is cancelling all Meals on Wheels, transportation and adult day programs
  • All sites of De dwa da dehs nyes Aboriginal Health Centre in Brantford, Hamilton and Niagara are closed to in-person visits. Virtual visits previously scheduled will resume.
  • Meals on Wheels will not be delivered food to Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake
  • All Hamilton Public Library locations are closed
