Salamanders closing Burlington road
Starting next week, a portion of King Road in Burlington will be temporarily closed to allow for a safer breeding season for salamanders.
Burlington City Council committed last year to closing that section of road every spring for three weeks. It’s to allow the endangered salamanders to safely cross the road and reach their breeding pools. The road will be closed from the escarpment to Mountain Brow Road from March 18th to April 8th.
