Russia banned from international sports for 4 years

Don’t expect to see the Russian flag or uniform at any international sports events for the next four years. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has handed down a severe punishment against the country that will ban Russia from high profile sports events including soccer’s 2022 World Cup and next year’s Olympics. WADA concluded that Russia planted fake evidence and deleted files linked to positive doping tests that could have helped identify drug cheats. They have 21 days to appeal.
