Russell Williams victim sues police
Convicted sex killer Russell Williams, his ex-wife and the Ontario Provincial Police are being sued by one of his victims.
Laurie Massicotte is seeking $7 million in damages as a result of an assault by Williams in September 2009.
She accuses the police of failing to protect her, and withholding information on her attacker’s identity.
Legal documents allege that once police responded to Massicotte’s 911 call, they left her tied up for hours while the collected evidence.
The allegations have not been proven in court, and no statement of defence has been filed.
