Runners took part in 70 Kilometer race to support their local charity

Despite the rain, runners took part in a 70 kilometer race from Toronto to Hamilton all for a good cause. Racers arrived in Hamilton at Merit Brewery on James Street North.

This was the first year for the event that featured 15 teams and a total of 55 runners, participants took off at different times throughout the morning.

Organizers say the idea was inspired to support a Toronto based charity. Organizers are planning a bigger event next year based on the success of today’s event.
