Run planned in Boston, Ontario

As more details of last month’s bombings emerge, running groups continue to show their solidarity in memory of the tragic events, including in a small town in Norfolk County.

Boston, Ontario doesn’t appear have too much in common with its Massachusetts counterpart. But about 1,000 runners from the around area will be participating in a memorial run this Saturday to honor the victims of the Boston bombings. 20 to 40 previous Boston marathon runners from across the province are also expected to participate. Organizers Randy Papal and Kevin Murphy say originally, there was only going to be a small group running through Boston, but it quickly grew into an event that will feature a ceremony for the victims.
